 2022 Preview

Susan Moore completed the 2021 season with a 4-6 record. Last year Susan Moore just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 3A region six with a 3-4 region record.

Since 2010, Susan Moore has gone a combined 60-66. Their 47.6% winning percentage ranks 35th in Class 3A over the past twelve seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Susan Moore has managed to compile a record of 151-123. Their 55.0% winning percentage ranks 26th in Class 3A and 138th in the AHSAA.

The Bulldogs will be under the direction of new head football coach Stephen Jackson as they enter the 2022 season.  Coach Jackson was the offensive coordinator at Lanett last season.

The Susan Moore Bulldogs will play in Class 3A region seven during the 2022 season. Following realignment, the Bulldogs remain in 3A but move from region six over to region seven.

With a little luck and some improvement, the Bulldogs could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region seven this season. Susan Moore missed the playoffs the past couple of seasons but hope to return to the post season in 2022.

The Bulldogs open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Douglas on Friday, August 19 at Authur Jarvis Stadium. Last year the Douglas Eagles finished with an overall record of 6-5 and in fourth place in Class 5A region seven. The Eagles lost in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs to Pleasant Grove by a score of 55-0.

Susan Moore and Douglas have met a total of 16 times on the football field. The Bulldogs have a 10-6-0 record against the Eagles. They last met in 1993 with Susan Moore winning by a score of 14-0.
